“To advance the professional dance educator through
recognition and accreditation.”

What is the NRDE?

The National Registry of Dance Educators provides support and services to members who teach dance in private studios and schools so that they may provide their students and community with the highest quality programs and training available in dance education. Membership in the National Registry of Dance Educators is limited to dance educators who practice in the United States and its’ territories.

The National Registry of Dance Educators enables professionals to voluntarily pledge adherence to professional conduct, responsibilities and safe practice in teaching dance. The Registry recommends responsible professional behavior for dance educators and makes these responsibilities known to the community through public education and the media.

The intent is that by adhering to standards of professional conduct the public will be served, the profession will be advanced, and individual integrity will be recognized and promoted.
