Robin Pollara is currently Director of the Tampa Ballet Center, a not- for-profit corporation dedicated to the art of classical ballet education in Tampa, Fl. She has been teaching ballet, beginner through advanced/professional level for more than 15 years. A Registered Dance Educator, she has comprehensive knowledge in ballet technique, choreography, musicality, staging and directing. In her professional performing career, she danced with The Tampa Ballet, Bay Ballet Theatre, Dance Theatre of Florida, Ballet Theatre International, Acanthus Ballet, Florida Nature Coast Ballet, and the Tampa Ballet Center.
 

Ms. Pollara has prepared students for college and professional auditions and exams, and has rehearsed and staged many professional and semi-professional works. Past alumni of the Tampa Ballet Center have continued their pursuit of dance with such companies as Sarasota Ballet, Ballet Austin, Columbia City Ballet, Dance Alive, and the Tallahassee Ballet. Students have also attended summer programs with American Ballet Theater, Boston Ballet, University of California Pennsylvania, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, Orlando Ballet, Alonzo Kings Lines Ballet, and the Sarasota Ballet.
 

Ms. Pollara is a member of NDEO, FDEO and FDA. She continues to expand her knowledge in the art of teaching dance and has completed professional seminars in the methodologies and instruction of dance with David Howard, Marcia Dale Weary, and Ruth Petrinovic.
