Mme Peff Modelski, RDE GCFP, teaches classical ballet to professional dancers at Steps on Broadway in New York City. She has a large private clientele of both professionals and potentials. She is a Guild Certified Feldenkrais practitioner with a private practice in New York and Chicago. She has written numerous articles on teaching dance and is preparing her first book for publication. She supervised 3 musical CD’s for teaching pointe class with Roper Records, and published notes to accompany them. Her CDs include Hamstring Maintenance Plus, a Feldenkrais based workshop for dancers and people with hamstring difficulties. |

She travels often to give PeffPointe Repair Clinics©, visiting dancing schools to assist students with chronic pointe problems. Her Teacher Training Syllabus© includes a special syllabus for dyslexic children and children returning from injury. Peff Pre-Pointe Class© developed for the Steps Young People’s Program is famous. She is considered one of the most sought after resources in pointe work problem-solving, She offers professional preventive repair classes daily at Steps in New York City. Her professional students are now in every Broadway show and all the major ballet companies in the country, and she is regularly engaged by international dancers for coaching. Mme Modelski accomplished her early training with Margaret Craske and then went on the High School of Performing Arts, School of American Ballet, American Ballet Theatre School, Harkness Ballet, Nanette Charisse, David Howard and Willi Burmann. Her extensive performance career included classic ballet (Metropolitan Opera Ballet Company, American Ballet Theatre) on Broadway (Fiddler on the Roof.) For many years she taught at the High School of Performing Arts in New York City. |
