Cheri Glankler founded the Vacaville Ballet in 1993 with her daughter Heidi Glankler-LuMaye. She is currently a teacher at the academy of the Ballet specializing in training for beginning students including young children in the pre-primary level. Cheri began her dance training at age three and continued study through California State Hayward performing during her high school and college years in California. While her daughter Heidi danced with the San Francisco Ballet, Cheri became a manager traveling with the Company. Cheri has worked as a parent educator for a physician group, owned and operated a full line dance store, and is working towards a Master in child development. She has completed the Royal Winnipeg Teachers Course and numerous other in-service teacher courses. At the Vacaville Ballet Theatre Academy she is responsible for the community outreach program, Dance in Schools. |
