Abigail Agresta-Stratton, R. D. E., earned a B.F.A.in Theatre Arts from Adelphi University and a M.A. in Dance Education from NYU’s School of Education. She has performed with MADT in works by Mary Anthony, Charles Weidman and Bertram Ross, and with independent choreographers such as Michiyo Sato. Abigail was Company Manager of MADT for three years.

She has taught dance in many publicand private schoolsand studios, including Peridance and Arts Gate Centerand has created and implemented a multi-faceted dance curriculum at P.S. 161 as a full-time Dance Educator and was the full time dance educator at PS 314, Muscota New School in Upper Manhattan.

Abigail’s students are known to create many original and creative dance pieces. She is a graduate of the DEL program at the 92nd Street Yand utilizes LMA, as well as LOD and in her teaching methods. She has been a member of the NYCDOE Dance Blueprint Committee, a scorer for the NYS Dance Content Specialty Test and Chair of NYC Dance Educators / UFT. Abigail has been the Co-Coordinator of the first NDEO at NYU conference and the first NYSDEA / NDEO at NYU conference and has served on the Board of the American Dance Guild and is currently a Board Member of the NYS Dance Education Association. In September 2006, Abigail will implement a dance program in West Islip High School and throughout West Islip Union Free School District. She was the feature of an article in the May/June issue of Goldrush Magazine. In addition to these activities, Abigail became a new mother on July 13th, 2005. She and her husband, Daniel Anthony Stratton, are the proud parents of Maxmillian Anthony Stratton.
